I went out on the Great Escape on April 18 with Captain Marty, Mike, Bobby, and myself, Mario for a very good day on the water. Despite starting out a little lumpy, it was perfect when we set up to fish for Tog. Water temperatures were in the mid 50’s and we fished in 70′ to 80′ of water. It was a very productive day for 14″ and 14 1/2″ Tog, LOL.
We ended up with six keepers and one Ling. and hey, we even found runaway green Buoy # 115 that broke away from the intercoastal, heading towards Barnegat.
It was a great first Tog fishing trip for me with a lot of good conversations about past memories and great weather.
