Fished w/Bill Dabney, leaving the dock around 7:30. Plans were to go out front to one of Bill’s favorite wrecks for Fluke, however water temps in the low 50’s in the ocean, changed our plans to fishing the bay. Started drifting south of the 139 for a while with no action, other than killing greenheads. As we moved out towards the inlet, fishing the incoming, I had a short, fishing a light jig with with a 4″ white gulp, and a teaser w/killie & squid combo. Then a nice 20″ fluke.
We continued moving out toward the inlet and Bill had a nice 21″ on a dropper rig with a 6″ Gulp. We ended the day with approx a dozen fish with the two keepers. Bill’s weighed in at 3lbs 12oz and mine 3lbs 1oz. All in all a nice & successful day on the water.
